While there have been a plethora of iPad tablet competitors announced, we have yet to see once materialize and become commercially available. If you’re in India, that may be happening sooner than us here in the States.
Olive Telecom has just announced the Olive Pad VT100 Android-powered tablet capable of running on 3.5G bands. This device runs Android 2.1 and features a 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480. Additionally, it is to feature WiFi, 512MB of built-in storage, Bluetooth, SD card slot, mini USB, 3.5 mm headset jack and a 3 megapixel camera.
What’s strange about this device is the fact that it actually features the ability to be used as a mobile cell phone. It will be available next month for around $500 with no word on a North American or International launch.
