Bryce Dallas Howard for Kate Spade!

I am absolutely in LOVE with the new Kate Spade Spring/Summer campaign featuring the bright and cheery Bryce Dallas Howard! The photos in the campaign are so happy! I love the rainbow colors, her bright red hair and I love love love the splashes of hot pink. I told beau earlier this year as we walked into the Georgetown Kate Spade store, "sigh, this is one of my happy places for sure!". Oh yes, it is!
The Candy Shop Jeanette Dress is on my Spring Wish List for SURE!
The Essex Scout bag would be a great addition to my closet. What girl doesn't need a hot pink purse!

See, Bryce and I have something in common already, we both love and have the Camille Bag from last season, how cute is it! Yep, my orange loving beau surprised me with it for Christmas.

Oh Kate, you always seem to have amazing items, campaigns, you are fabulous for sure.

Wedding Wednesday

A wedding fit for a foodie! Gail Simmons from Top Chef was married a couple of years ago but I saw the photos recently while browsing Martha Weddings and just love everything about it!

{The place setting was amazing! I love that every place setting had a petite baguette wrapped in paper.}

{Gifts were linen tote bags and jars of locally grown pickles.}

{For a very farm fresh look the place cards had fresh farm flowers surrounding them.}

{Cocktail hour including seasonal veggies in farm baskets, I love this idea!}

{The bride and groom. Love wedding pics!}

{A specialty lemonade cocktail looked oh so pretty and I'm sure tasted amazing! I"m obsessed with the YUM wooden skewers!}

{And it wouldn't be a Top Chef wedding without Chef Tom Colichio in attendance, sigh.}

Amazing wedding! I loved it!

The Royally Engaged

I have a pink Juicy Couture tshirt that says "Prince William is a Fox". I use to wear it out in college and it was a great conversation piece and yes....I really did think, well, maybe, I could be William's Princess (hee hee hee hee). Well ladies, the time has come, Prince William is off the market. Kate Middleton and Prince William are getting married! How sweet and happy do they look!

The fact that Kate is wearing Princess Diana's engagement ring is pretty amazing. I am sure Kate looks at Princess Diana just like I did when I was a little girl, as well, a Princess, an icon, however she just so happened to be her fiances mother. Wow, it is absolutely gorgeous, but I wonder if she also looks at her hand and thinks "I'm wearing the family jewels". I like how Prince William describes him thinking he would lose it before proposing, "I would be in a ALOT of trouble!" Um, yes. But I also loves how he says he had a super romantic proposal, sweeeet.
I mean really, how cute is she! I feel like she is just beaming!
Do you think their wedding will be a big Fairytale Celebration like Princess Diana's? Will Kate wear Vera, Carolina, Monique, I wonder? Do you think she will hire a planner or I am guessing that Buckingham Palace has a royal wedding planner, now that sounds like my dream job!

Ooooo, I love her hat in the picture below. Wow, they had been engaged for weeks and couldn't tell anybody. That's not easy, especially since well they are the next royal couple.
I remember my sisters and I had these Princess Diana paperdolls. I wonder if Kate will get her on paper dolls? Gosh, these bring back memories! Maybe that is where my slight royal obsession came from. Funny.

Really! I think I need a Kate & William teacup set!
Have an extra 15 minutes I have to say, watch the full engagement interview below. It's really sweet. I love how William says they have a good giggle, so cute. They just seem happily and love but also, sweet Kate, so nervous and no idea whats ahead. Good luck and congrats to the happy couple!

Martha. Oprah.

These two ladies.....

Miss Black Tennessee Beauty Queen

Glamour Magazine Fashion Model

In case you missed it this week, Martha Stewart was on the Oprah show on Tuesday. These two women, well I kind of love them. I DVR all of their shows, I read their magazines, I've been to Martha's show, I've stood on the stage near Oprah (hahaha, OK, she was on the other side of the curtain, I could hear her but never saw her, sigh. I DREAM OF ATTENDING HER SHOW!), you get it, I love them! So on Tuesday Miss Martha got all dolled up in her satin shirt and appeared on Oprah's last season!

All of the guests went away with her amazing Michael's crafts products! I love how Oprah was laughing at how excited Martha was about her corner punch. I was excited. I think I need one.

The Bloody Mary Bar was so fun. I have always said I am going to make my own flavored vodkas. They are so simple and easy to do, however I have never finished the project. After watching the show I think, "OK, easy, I need to do this". On the show the made a cucumber vodka which looked oh so refreshing!
That also set up a grilled cheese bar, genius, easy, must use!

The Oprah Show recreated Martha Stewart's craft cabinets.
The ribbon shelf, I die.

Martha's cookbooks, hhhmm, which don't I own???

If you have a chance this weekend, download the show and watch it. The two of these women have changed America in many ways. I loved the segment where Martha was showing Oprah how to properly fold fitted sheets. I remember 9 years ago being at Syracuse in the Auditorium watching Martha give a presentation and teach a college guy how to properly iron a shirt. I was so amazed that she got the entire audiences attention to do domestic work. She has certainly changed how we think of the domestic goddess.

Oprah, thank you for having her on your last season. By the way, if you have a few tickets left over for the final season, my and my sisters would LOVE to go:) Miss Oprah you have changed our lives !

Enjoy! xoxo~Becca

A Bike for the Beach

I just absolutely LOVE this picture of Audrey Hepburn and her puppy. She is so adorable and chic on her little bike with a basket. She was photographed many times riding around on her bike. Maybe it was Audrey's Dutch childhood that created her love of biking. When Beau and I were in Holland it made me realize just how much people bike there! It was snowing and his friends still biked home! Anyways..... I want a little bike! A bike to go to the beach would be perfect! I started searching this morning and came upon a few.
A dream bike would be this Tiffany Blue colored bike (no, not turquoise, Tiffany Blue thank you). It is a fancy bike and way over my budget
(yep, its $600), but isn't it pretty!
A Gary Fisher Collection bike, fancy. How pretty is this floral bike from Target!
It is a limited edition from the Liberty line. So sweet.

I did however find this bike on Craig's List this morning! $180! hhhhm, tempting...and it is pink. Maybe a birthday fairy will bring one to me.
Fingers crossed:) So this weekend with no bike, I'll run to the beach
and enjoy it all the same.

me and a cosmo

I think that this afternoon I might dress up, lay on the couch and drink a Cosmo...or two! I have only been in Florida for a few days but am already missing my girlfriends. I love my beau and am glad I am here but hey, watching Sex and the City 2 with the girls just doesn't get much better.

I guess it was about 9 years ago that I was an intern in NYC. Christa and I use to run upstairs to her cousins apartment to watch Sex and the City every Sunday night. We would search websites for where the girls hung out in NYC and save all our pennies to indulge in a cocktail there as well. Oh the fun memories!

The first movie came out a couple of years ago and I had the great company of my sisters and my mom. It was a weekend away in Scottsdale Arizona and we made sure to have tickets before we even arrived.

I think I may go see a matinee tomorrow and celebrate having great amazing fabulous girlfriends! I am a lucky girl:) It doesn't matter where we live. Maybe we can all go to Abu Dhabi for the weekend like they did.

.....I thought SJP looked FAB at the premiere in NYC!

....ooooo I just love her! The hat from the last premier and this premier are so amazing!

I hope you all find a little time to indulge in a showing of Sex and the City 2! Girlfriends, cocktails, amazing clothes, relationships, jobs....the show and movie are just fabulous. I am toasting to all of you from my couch.

The Oscars 2010!

The Academy Awards! One of my favorite nights of the year! I absolutely LOVE watching the red carpet arrivals and the actors accept their awards. There is always a little high school theatre girl in me imagining being on that stage at the Kodak Theatre. I know, funny huh! Hey, a girl can still dream.

How cute was Audrey Hepburn with her Oscar in 1953!

Sunday night was full of interesting and pretty fashion choices. Here are a few of my favorites.

{The Twilight Cast! Some of them... Edward where were you??? Kristen looked grown up and very pretty, minus her awkward uncomfortable presentation. Anna Kendrick looked beautiful as a nominee. And well Taylor, I added him, no Edward, Jacob looked good for the night}
{Demi Moore looks amazing. I mean really! She is 46 and she looks like she is 26! The nude peachy colored Versace was hot.}
{Whatever. say what you want! Hot pink and full of ruffles, I loved it. It is kind of like her character in Up in the Air. You want to hate her but she did such a good job! The same as the dress, you want to hate it but secretly you love it. Way to go Vera Farmiga for wearing the bold Marchesa dress. Can I borrow it?}
{This dress fit Maggie Gyllenhaal's artsy funky independent spirit personality perfect. I thought she looked beautiful, pretty, like she was having a great time. The bold Dries van Noten dress was a wonderful choice for her.}
{Mrs. Best Actress 2010! Sandra Bullock I thought you looked like true Hollywood glamour. Say what you will, dull, boring, not Oscar enough. I loved it. I thought she looked dressed for the occasion in a very Hollywood glam gold dress with the punch of gold on her lips. Marchesa did it again!}
{Oh Rachel McAdams! Total girl crush. She is so cute I just love her. I thought this Elie Saab dress was just stunning on her. She liked so feminine and pretty without looking like she was trying to dress up in a wedding dress or try to be older then she is. The dress looked even better as Jake Gyllenhaal escorted her on stage. oooo, cute couple could be!}
{I truly thought my mom was crazy yesterday when she kept talking about the cool dress that Carey Mulligan was wearing with little miniature scissors and forks and spoons on it. I kept think, what? She was right! This Prada dress was absolutely awesome! So fun!}
{Zoe Saldana, Avatar's leading lady. I had mixed feelings on this dress but I truly think I love it. The sparkly Givenchy is like no other. The beading towards the top was so beautiful. The bottom, was ruffle heaven and a but overwhelming. HOWEVER, as the night went on I learned to love it, it was like a work of art! Go over the top! It's the Oscars!}
{I thought Nicole and Joel were a FABULOUS couple!}
{I had to add young Hollywood. How cute were Vanessa and Zac! I though they were alll loooking so amazing. And the Jonas brothers, cute.}

Cameron Diaz, pretty dress, the hair I thought made her look like she was going to a Texas Deb Ball. SJP, you are amazing, cool dress but TOO tan! Miley Cyrus, you annoy me but I did like your dress, just stand up straight!!!!

I may have not been able to walk the red carpet Sunday, but I did get to attend a really fun event at the St. Regis. A Vista Events provided all of the decor and the place looked AMAZING! There were five themed rooms all styled after a Best Picture nominee. I didn't get great pictures but I wanted to share something.
The UP room had a replicate of the house with the balloons, so cute. The room was complete with a Cherries Jubilee station. yum! The Avatar room had a Tree of Souls in the center bar. Really fun room! The Up in the Air room was my favorite. A Vista created tables in the shapes of clouds suspended them from the ceiling with all ghost chairs around. The bar in the room had mini bottles like you would be served on a plane. The truffle and champagne bar had mini bags of peanuts. The room was great! There was a room themed towards An Education with all English beers and liquors, chalkboard covered tables. The Inglorious Bastard room was draped in red velvet and gold. It was great evening! I wore, Juicy Couture, maybe not Chanel Couture, but couture all the same. haha.

Till next year! xoxo~Becca
