Casio has come forth today to announce a brand new projector that has just been released in New Zealand dubbed the XJ-A245U. This projector features a 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution, 2500 ANSI lumens, an 1800:1 contrast ratio, HDMI port and USB. What is unique about this projector is the fact that it utilizes Green Slim technology that combine LED and lasers resulting in a lamp rated at around 20,000 hours. Not only that but this combination will make for improved image quality due to the two display technologies working in conjunction with one another.
There was no mention of a retail price but considering the XJ-A245U is on sale in the US and retails for around $1,100 we’d say it’s safe to assume it will be something like that.
