Motorola DROID X2 review

Motorola DROID X2 review
The previous launch of Motorola DROID X was a big hit, which had a screen size of 4.3” and resolution which supported 480×854 pixels with a 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor and an amazing internal storage of 6.15GB and higher end connection options. The expected DROD X2 is likely to have more improvements.

The Motorola DROID X2 will have same 4.3-inch capacitive screen with multi-touch capabilities, but the screen resolution is increased to 540×960 pixels. The processor will be upgraded to dual core Tegra 1Ghz processor from NVIDIA which is faster than LG Optimus 2X.

As far as OS is concerned, it is likely to be Android 2.2(Froyo), but for future upgrades Motorola might have plans to support Android 2.3(Gingerbread) or may be Android 3.0 (Honey Comb).

The USB connector will be USB 2.0 and other features like Wi-fi, DLNA network based streaming, HDMI output, 8MP camera which can shoot even in motion and is faster than its previous model DROID X and can record 720p HD videos. Coming to battery, same batteries will be used. Just like the previous droid upfront is the AMOLED display which will also improve the battery life.

Motorola DROID X2 will have a microSD, but the memory of the microSD card which is bundled is still not known.

Since it is Verizon branded, Motorola DROID X2 might be only for US regions. The price detail is not yet revealed. Nevertheless, let’s wait for Motorola to launch Motorola DROID X2.0.
