NoteSlate touch tablet for $99

NoteSlate touch tablet for $99
Like the idea of a cheap tablet with a grayscale excellent battery life but not enthusiastic about the black-on-white text? Late note has an unusual solution. The company is developing a line of $ 99 slate, which come in a variety of two-tone versions. You’ll be able to get a standard white background with black black text, 4 different models with black backgrounds and blue, white, green or red text and photos.

The company also plans to offer a 4-color version that will turn blue, red, green or white text and drawings on a black background, but that model will probably cost more. The late note is designed as a digital note-taking device with a kind of electronic paper display. You can take notes with a stylus and push buttons to save, delete or view previous screens. The tablet has a 13-inch, 750 x 1080 pixel display and weigh about half pound. The company says you should be able to get to 180 hours battery life.

At launch, the note late software has a limited feature set so you can make drawings and to MP3s using headphones (no speaker) listen. Future updates will provide support for reading PDF files and OCR processing to convert handwritten notes to plain text.

The website has a note late few contradictions. At one point the device is described as weighing 240 grams, while others say it weighs 280 grams. There is also a great exclamation point to “no surfing the web” which may be something the developers are very excited about it, or just something they want to make sure that you are aware of. The overall concept is very interesting as well as HP EX490 Mediasmart Home Server, but the company says the device will actually not be available until June, so it will take a while before we can see if the note late to her promise.
