Sony Announces Google TV Powered HDTV
Sony announces the details of the first HDTV powered by Google TV software interface. The TV will be available in 4 different sizes, 24, 32, 40 and 46.

The software interface supports dual view mode which allows the user to do play with applications while watching television, for eg. one can use twitter while watching his favorite movie on television. This television comes with many pre-loaded applications including youtube and it has got a QWERTY RF remote which has got an integrated mouse to make the navigation easy for the user.

Coming to the hardware, all four of them will be supporting wi-fi and the top 3 of them will offer 1080p resolution and LED backlighting. The smallest one will be having the usual CCFL lighting.

The four different sets have been named NSX-24GT1 ($599), NSX-32GT1 ($799), NSX-40GT1 ($999) and NSX-46GT1 ($1,399). All of them will have Intel processors and built-in Google TV. Google TV Platform will be upgradeable and the users will be able to download applications from the Android Market in the early 2011. Each of the four sets four HDMI intputs and four USB slots.

All the models will be available for purchase from October 16th. The price of the basic model is $599, however the 42″ model will be available for $1399.
